How to enroll

Choosing the right course is the decisive step towards achieving the best results.

For this reason, ProLingua gives utmost attention to selecting the type of training through a process divided into 6 phases.

1. Didactic analysis

Through an introductory interview, our Didactic Coordinator creates a profile of the student, identifies their goals, and evaluates their needs.

2. Placement Test

Through a written and oral test, which can be taken at the school location or online, we assess any prior knowledge and the student's actual language communication skills in order to suggest an appropriate learning path.

3. Customized training path

The Educational Coordinator evaluates the preliminary analysis and the results of the test, then creates a specific training program tailored to the individual student. Depending on the available time and the desired goals, this may involve a single course or a combination of modules assigned to a dedicated teacher. ProLingua guarantees flexibility and complete customization of courses to ensure the best results: the educational activities and the practical organization of the courses can be adjusted at any time based on the student’s progress and new needs.

4. Ongoing Assessment

Each training program includes periodic assessments of the skills achieved.

This way, the instructor updates the lesson plan after each class, always keeping the objectives to be reached in mind.

5. Acquisition of communication skills

Our goal is to help our students express themselves in the language they desire as quickly as possible. We build communication skills (i.e., the ability to speak, understand, read, and write) that enable our students to converse and be understood by first using the language, then perfecting grammar later on.

Our lessons are designed around real-life situations to ensure that students acquire relevant language skills. They include role plays, interviews, movies, comics, debates, and songs in order to create a natural and stimulating environment. In this way, the student is immersed in a true and current cultural context, gaining knowledge of traditions, customs, and mindsets inherent to the culture of the chosen language.

6. Final Certificate

At the end of each course, we issue a language proficiency certificate based on the level achieved, in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (at no additional cost).

Levels of the Courses

livelli prolingua_ita.png

ProLingua International was one of the first schools to adopt the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) levels as early as 1992, a result of a decade-long effort by the top researchers in the field of language teaching.

The CEFR has become our reference because it:

  • Unifies the naming of language levels.

  • Provides guidelines for learning, assessment, and selection of teaching materials.

  • Ensures clarity in evaluating the skills to be acquired across Europe.

  • Describes in detail what a student is able to do at each level in the different areas of competence: listening comprehension, reading comprehension, written production, oral production, and mastery of certain grammatical structures.

SURVIVAL

The student is able to communicate to satisfy basic needs.

They can give and ask for simple information using familiar and everyday expressions.

The Method

Our Teaching Method

Our goal is to help our students express themselves in the language of their choice as quickly as possible. We use the most effective language learning approach, supported by extensive international scientific research: the communicative method. This teaching method focuses on acquiring practical, useful skills:

  • We build communicative competencies that allow our students to converse and be understood, using the language first and perfecting grammar later.

  • We use authentic reading and listening texts related to real-life situations, not artificial texts created solely for teaching purposes.

  • Our teachers are true facilitators, encouraging communication among students rather than giving orders to the class.

  • Our lessons are based on real-life situations to ensure that students acquire relevant language skills (e.g., asking for information, making phone calls, expressing themselves during social events or job interviews).

  • Our lessons include role-playing, interviews, films, comics, debates, and songs to create an as natural and stimulating environment as possible. Students are immersed in a true cultural context, learning about the traditions, customs, and mindset of the target language’s culture.

We are proud of the results our students achieve!
